Texas Weather and Working Out!!

It has been very hard for me to get motivated to start working out. You already know that I have a gym in my house, so why am I not using it? Well, one reason is weather and sickness. Texas weather these last few days has been, to say the least...crazy!!! We went from 67 degrees yesterday to 22 today covered in ice and with snow. This type of weather makes it really hard for me to get motivated to do anything, much less workout. But it seems to be the perfect day to do it because what else am I going to do, right? Why is it so hard to get started. I plan and plan but never do what I plan. Why can't I be like others that I see on Facebook? I'll tell you why, because they're not lazy!!

Days like this really get me thinking, but unfortunately not active. I want to do everything that I write down on my list. But I still choose to sit and do nothing. I use excuses like I'm tired, the kids are here or anything else. So why am I writing this blog? I guess one of the main reasons is because I know there are people out there just like me. The ones that want to do, but still sit and do nothing. I want to show that there are others struggling with what you are struggling with. I want to show you that I will overcome this just like you will. I want to show you that we can do this together!!

So first things first. Since I didn't do much yesterday, well I worked on my travel blog. I wrote this week's resolutions down and actually marked off some from last week. That was nice to actually do. Of course, some resolutions carried over to this week because I either didn't do them or didn't fully complete them. I'm going to take this one baby step at a time. Today I will fully commit myself to working my Plexus business, blog, and social media accounts. This is a baby step that I can complete if I choose to do so. Why not? It's not like I'm going to do anything else today. I have to first be my own motivator. Motivate myself and show myself that I am better than what I think I am. I want to be better, so why not show it!!

The weather this week is going to be crazy. It's going to be in the 30's for the next few days and then 70 on Saturday...that's Texas for ya. So I will have limited days to achieve my walking goal. Once again I wrote down to do yoga once. All I need to do is complete one week and add to it each week after that. Make a routine, stick with the routine and then achieve my goals.

I sit back and think that all this is possible. But I also at times talk myself out of things. Why do people do that? Why do we assume we are going to fail. Nobody fails when they at least try. So write down your weekly resolutions, get up and walk, start your business. Do the thing that you have been talking yourself out of for years!! You are worth it!!! So live it!!!

There's no pizza in the house!!!

My first week of trying to be healthy and I'm not doing a very good job.  It's not that I don't have the help, it's there. This is all me...no motivation at all. But I sure can think about it. Of course I'll use the regular excuses of not having enough time or being to busy. Oh, wanna hear why I seem to have no time? We or I keep our 8 month grand baby a lot, like 90% of the time a lot. I feel like a new mom that's completely lost on all the new things. Did you know that a car seat can't be turned around now until they are 2? There is so much and it's so expensive now. I am so tired all the time and I take full advantage of "When the baby sleeps you sleep." I think I have no time to myself but I really do, I just need to take it.

Plexus is giving me a chance to take that time for me. It's giving me the motivation to workout, or at least make the plan to workout, Remember in my earlier blog I talked about resolutions? I mentioned how hard it was to plan for the entire year and that makes it easier to fail. I decided to do weekly resolutions and that's exactly how I plan to do Plexus as well. One of my many faults is jumping in and expecting massive results in a very short time. I am that person that wants to lose 60 pounds in 2 months. So I will buy everything that's offered or needed for a plan. But in all honesty I don't need everything at first. Plexus has some amazing products, trust me I've tried them all. But since I am starting over I need to do better about making Plexus an everyday habit. I go full force for a couple of weeks but no more than a month. That waist money and doesn't help me much, So for the first month of being back on Plexus I am going to do just one product everyday. I will drink Plexus Slim every day until it's my norm. This is so easy!!! I'm already drinking water so adding the Plexus Slim will be the easiest thing I can do on this journey. I am going to drink Slim every day until it's incorporated into my morning routine. That's easy enough, right?

We are a generation of wanting quick results. Well nothing is quick, you have to work for it and do what works for you. For me, doing just the Slim for a month and then each month incorporate another product is what will work for me. I need to stop expecting so much in such little time without working for it. Why is it we work hard for so many things but won't work for our health? I use to be an assistant manager at Starbucks, I was just waiting for my own store to open up and then I would become manager. I didn't start out in this position, I had to work for it. I came straight in as a shift supervisor and worked my way up. I worked all the time. I went to work on my days off just to sit in the lobby and do more work. I became a very strict manager making sure everyone followed the rules. I was totally committed to making it to manager. But for some reason I can never commit to myself. Why is it that we can commit ourselves to other people but can't commit to ourselves? Stop putting yourself behind others. We are important and deserve to have good health. So why are we not doing what is needed?

I'm so tired of being lazy, but yet you have not read an actual workout blog. Remember I also mentioned posting a pic, yeah not doing that yet either. But I will say that I walked 2 miles this week and I loved it! I wanted to walk more but it was getting dark. So here is the challenge for you!!! Make a resolution list for next week, check out my Plexus site and see why Plexus is right for you, and last...walk!!!

Don't forget to follow me and get daily updates!!

I have a gym...in my house!!!

Let's face it, not many people like working out. I was always intimated by other women when I went to the gym. It was hard and I always wondered what they were thinking. In all honesty I'm sure they could care less about me, but it was something I always worried about. My weight has been up and down since I had my first child at 21. Before that I was a size 5..barely. There was a time that I was even a 0 and we couldn't find clothes to fit me. What ever happened to that person? I can tell you...she liked to eat so she disappeared. I love food, I do...I really really do.

But here it is, 2018 and I'm starting out the year like I do every year...resolutions. Do you have resolutions? I have a list of them every year and they last about a week. So this year I decided to do something different. When you write out your resolutions you are looking at 365 days of trying to be perfect or hitting your goal. Each day is a struggle and the end is so far away. So I changed it up. I am doing my resolutions each week. Yep, that's right, each and every single week. I sit down on Monday morning and write out what I want to achieve for that week. The first week didn't go so good, but this week is going a lot better. To me this is reachable, much more than focusing on doing it for the year. Some weeks will have the same resolution because that's an ongoing goal, while others can be achieved weekly. This is me, no more reaching for the stars so far away, reach for the ones close to me first.

One of the main reasons I decided to do this blog is because I need something for me. I'm going to be 45 this year and I'm in that place in my life asking myself, "What have I done?' I need and want to do more, but I need to change me first. I am starting out on my Plexus journey at 226 lbs. To some that's major, to others it's a weight goal they are trying to get. I have been heavier, but right now I feel at my worst. I hate that I have gotten to this. I cry and get upset at myself but I wouldn't change anything.

I have a gym in my house. Not a full gym, but close enough. The closest gym to my house is 15 miles away. So what do I do? I buy everything, including a cycling bike that I have only been on once in 9 months. I have yoga videos, weights, everything...including Jillian Michael's workout DVD set, and you guessed it...I never have opened it. Before I moved to this area I use to work out a lot. But it's the same story every time. Workout...don't eat right. Eat right...don't work out. I've even ran 2 half marathons. Keep in mind we are using the word ran very loosely. Motivation is a big deal for me, but let's face it..I'm going to have to be my own motivator. Well that's what I use to say. Plexus has such a strong commitment to being healthy and such a strong team to help you get there. The motivation is there...you just need to see it.

So here I am. 44 years old. 226 pounds, and lazy. Oh and did I mention I'm keeping an 8 month grand baby? Do I have time to be tired? Yes..the answer is yes because I'm tired all the time. I have two options, go walk or lay down. Guess which one I'll pick? So what's a little bit of a kicker for me? A picture!! Oh I'm not posting it here, well not yet anyways. There's no better motivator, no better proof of how something works than a picture.

So yes, I will post a picture before I fully start this journey. Are you brave enough to take it with me?

When Life Hands You Pizza...

The title of this entry says a lot. I always seem to have "pizza" thrown at me. I'm a stress eater, a bored eater, a "Oh Wow Chocolate" eater. I am the person that will stand in front of a mirror and get mad at everything but me, well until lately. Hard times have taken over our household, finances can be the number 1 problem in a relationship and boy have I learned that. Over the past couple of years I have struggled with weight, motivation, finances, and other things that I just can't think of right now.

I have tried several different weight loss products out there. The one that involves 24 days, then there's the one that has the 3 steps. I guess I wanted them to work so bad that at first I thought they were, until I realized they weren't. Not all plans are for everybody. I have tried Plexus a couple of times, but only for a month or two at a time. It's funny how I always say that I can't afford it but it cost no more than all the Coke's and fast food i was getting each month. I love me some Coke and I will say that will be very hard to give up, all in moderation they say. I never realized Plexus was working until I had to take a physical at work for the upcoming year insurance. My cholesterol has been over 200 for years, and I mean years. Without changing my diet or working out I found out that my cholesterol was under 200. I didn't do anything but drink the Pink Drink. So I thought there had to be something to this. But of course I dragged my fee and didn't commit. A year went by and I ordered again, for only a month. My sponsor never seemed to give up. She would send messages and call every so often, I'm sure I drove her crazy. I always said I would but then when time came I never seemed to have the money, that was always the excuse.

So why now? Why have I decided to totally commit? The most simple answer...I'm tired. I'm tired of clothes not fitting. I'm tired of not having any energy. I'm tired of being embarrassed about how I look. I'm tired of being broke. Life is so hard and it's not going to get any easier unless I change it.

I need to change....I want to change...I am going to change!!!
